We all have a way of looking at the world, and whether we realize it or not, we carry our culture with us wherever we go. Some may believe they don’t need “cultural competence” because they don’t interact with others globally. Don’t assume that because you’re interacting with someone from the same country, state, or city as you, means they are from the same culture.

Cultures around the world do things differently. Although core human needs are the same – love, faith, food, water, shelter, health –how we achieve those goals can differ widely in a global supply chain.

Cultural Competence for Supply Chain Professionals will explore what it means to be culturally competent, why it’s crucial for Supply Chain Professionals, and ways to develop cultural competence. We will discuss:

  1. What is Cultural Competence?
  2. Why is Cultural Competence Important?
  3. Professions That Need Cultural Competence
  4. The Cultural Competence Process
  5. How to Be Culturally Competent

The ability to understand and interact respectfully with different cultures constitutes Cultural Competence. How well these interactions take place can significantly impact your effectiveness and career as a Supply Chain Professional.

Click HERE to register and join Dr. Kim Moore as we learn how our culture determines how we naturally interact with others.
