Teachers are the bedrock of preparing our students for the future. As a parent, I valued my children’s teachers and believed I understood their work to educate our students. However, I realized I had barely scratched the surface when I became a teacher.

As a teacher, in addition to teaching all day, I would spend numerous hours preparing my lessons, researching, and attending professional development. On the weekends, I would grade lab reports, homework, papers, and tests while attending my children’s athletic games, music lessons, and other activities.

Our teachers and staff are committed to preparing students for life. In addition to their work when students are in the building, they work beyond their contractual time to ensure we are prepared to create conditions for student success.

This post explores the pivotal role of educators and support staff as stakeholders in the school district, emphasizing their contributions to students’ academic and personal development and the overall functioning of educational institutions.
